Dallas

Dallas began their career in animal welfare in 2013, volunteering at a local cat shelter. After a couple years, they were running a satellite adoption center for that shelter. Then came a brief pivot into pet boarding facilities - they came out of that carrying a firm opinion that boarding may work for a small number of pets, but seemed overall to be a stressful, difficult, and risky option for most. Dallas returned to the world of rescue for several years, working for such organizations as Best Friends Animal Society and LifeLine Animal Project. In 2021, Dallas set their sights on a new sphere and started work in veterinary medicine. True to their roots, the first clinic they worked at was feline-specific. This clinic required Fear Free certification for all staff, and Dallas fell in love with the methodology, carrying the teachings with them to each hospital they worked at thereafter.

Informed by Fear Free, their past experience, and constant learning, Dallas strives to provide the best possible care for your pet - both physically and emotionally. Anyone can fill up a bowl of kibble and leave it out. Dallas will follow the six-step recipe for your cat's nutritionist-designed medical diet supporting chemotherapy and hand-feed him when his appetite flags, taking the time to avoid undue stress on an already immunocompromised patient.

This passion for the full welfare of every animal they meet is what led Dallas to launch All Creatures Compassionate Pet Care. Every decision they make is based on one simple question: What is the best available option for this specific pet? Whether that’s a couple drop-in visits a day for your dog’s walks or your ferret’s medication, overnight care for pets that require a little more social support, or skilled care for those pets with more complex medical needs, Dallas is ready to discuss what the best care for your pet looks like, regardless of species.
